Kamchatka, Russia
Aug 2018
The Kamchatka peninsula lies in the Far East of Russia. A region so remote and inhospitable which was closed to the world until recently. Rugged. Desolate. Isolated. These are the words that come to my mind in describing this place of raw beauty. Journeying deep into the wilderness we experienced the timeless power of Nature in its extremes. From the relentless thuds of a hailstorm, the biting cold of a blizzard to the sheer force of gale-force winds. It was an unbelievably surreal experience standing mere metres away from predator brown bears. This was an adventure like no other.
